Tetrax is a unique balance testing system that enables physicians in rehab, ENT, sports medicine and geriatrics clinics to accurately assess balance, diagnose stability problems and pinpoint their source. It is the first – and currently only -- system that measures balance at four different reference points. Designed for easy use, it allows convenient diagnosis and checkups, facilitates comprehensive monitoring during the course of treatment, and can assist in balance training.
Balance can be impaired by a wide range of common conditions, such as vertigo, dizziness, whiplash, stroke, fatigue, drug interactions, and drug and alcohol intoxication. Instability can lead to orthopedic problems, which can impact quality of life and may result in potentially disastrous consequences such as falls, particularly among the elderly. Instability can also be a symptom of a deeper neurological or orthopedic problem. In all such cases, accurate balance testing is vital for correct diagnosis.
Accurate, Informative Results
Tetrax balance diagnosis is based on the measurement of vertical pressure fluctuations, detailed analysis and precise results referenced to a normative database. Measurement is performed on railings and four independent force plates.
The four individual measurement points yield separate signals of pressure fluctuations, enabling physicians to evaluate sway patterns for each of the four foot parts and the interaction between them. These detailed postural control parameters, which provide valuable diagnostic information for fall risk calculation, are not currently available on any other posturography device. A wide range of clinical studies supports the use of the Tetrax system.

Informative Results for Fall Risk Assessment and Progress Monitoring
Physicians can use Tetrax to identify the underlying stability problems that affect the risk of falling for individual patients, as well as their functional capacity.
The breadth of information provided by Tetrax enables both quantitative and qualitative monitoring of changes. This enables physicians to tailor treatment programs to individual patients suffering from a wide range of injuries and chronic orthopedic and neurological conditions, including:
